YOU SAVE TIME & MONEY

TAU PANEL’s simplicity suits rapid construction techniques. Factory cured, means no on-site curing. The smooth surfaces are ready for surface finishing if desired. As installation does not require skilled labour or plaster coating, you save by not employing wet trades.

EASY TO INSTALL

TAU PANEL arrives ready to install. The tongue-and-groove system allows rapid assembly, with being slid between top and bottom steel or aluminium sections and locked together. TAU PANEL can be cut with power tools and are ready to use or to finish with any decorative treatment.

FIRE RESISTANT

Wherever firewalls are needed TAU PANEL allows flexibility in design. Its fire ratings are far superior to those of masonry. In accordance with AS 1530, Part 4, TAU PANEL has the following fire resistance level when used as a non-load bearing wall system:

  • 50mm – 90mins
  • 75mm – 120mins
  • 100mm – 180mins

THERMAL INSULATION

TAU PANEL provides the following excellent thermal insulations:

  • 50mm – 1.41
  • 75mm – 2.17
  • 100mm – 2.93

DURABILITY

TAU PANEL panels have excellent durability characteristics. TAU PANEL withstands knocks, scrapes and rough treatment. The panels are immune to permanent water damage, will not burn or rotor corrode, are resistant to steam and pollution, and are totally unaffected by UV radiation.

FINISHES

TAU PANEL will accept almost any finish, from water-based and enamel paints, through to polymers, and cement render coatings. They can be painted with a standard 3-coat system for a smooth internal look or have a hi-build polymer texture applied for an extra rough Tuscan feel. The panel also readily accept external stone and other architectural finishes.

VERSATILE MASONRY ALTERNATIVE

While providing a masonry feel, TAU PANEL offers the additional benefits of being lightweight and thinner than brickwork. Lightweight to construction of this type reduces the dead load on the total structure and results in increased usable floor space.
